Gallery Nucleus - Update 4/8/2012!

 

Tribute to the Beatles at Gallery Nucleus. I have a piece in the show, a bust of John Lennon, come out and join the fun and the exhibit! Reception is tonight, get all the info here!

 Update July 8, 2012- Jeanne and I had a wonderful time at the reception last night!  Thanks to all who came out!  Here are some more pics of the statue at the gallery taken by our good friend and professional photographer Anthony Malone!  Also many thanks to owner Ben Zhu (pictured with us in front of the gallery) and curator Jessica Followel from Gallery Nucleus for all!

The Spirit!

A couple neat events recently, first "Remembering Will Eisner" at CAPS!  Fun night with panelist Mark Evanier, Batton Lash, Jackie Estrada, Charles Hatfield, Patrick McGreal and Scott Shaw.  A great remembrance of Will Eisner through the years... I couldn't resist doing caricatures of the panelists.  Then, if you haven't been to The Drawing Club here in LA hosted by Art Center College of Design Associate Professor Bob Kato, then I highly recommend it!  Every week he has costumed models on various themes, coincidentally there was one on The Spirit! Here are some sketches from that evening.  Fun and challenging to convert model Andy Flaster into the hero!
